A full-featured desktop publishing program for Windows from Adobe. PageMaker was the standard in the graphics arts industry for many years for creating ads, brochures, newsletters and books of all sizes and kinds. Introduced originally for the Mac in 1985 by Aldus Corporation, it set the standard for desktop publishing. In fact, Paul Brainerd, president of Aldus, coined the term. The PC version was introduced in 1987 for Windows 1.0 and was the first non-Microsoft Windows application.
